FY 2024 Connect and Protect: Law Enforcement Behavioral Health Response Program

The Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) is accepting applications for its FY 2024 Connect and Protect: Law Enforcement Behavioral Health Response Program.

Receive funding to support law enforcement and mental health cross-system collaboration that will improve public health and safety responses to and outcomes for individuals with mental health disorders, co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, or intellectual and developmental disabilities.

State, county, city, township, or Native American tribal governments (federally recognized); public- and state-controlled institutions of higher education; and special district governments. Nonprofit or for-profit mental health agencies are eligible if they provide services as a unit of the state or local government.
