Domestic Violence/Intimate Partner Violence Support
January 14, 2025
This workshop from the CSRC offered an essential overview of how the criminal justice system engages with domestic violence/intimate partner violence (DV/IPV)-related cases, emphasizing available assessments, supervision strategies, and community-based support for survivor well-being.

Participants gained valuable insights from a multi-impacted individual with lived experience, enhancing the depth and relevance of the discussion. The faculty also shared practical, evidence-based approaches to effectively support all parties involved in DV/IPV cases.
Participants developed a deeper understanding of DV/IPV research and the range of available DV/IPV-related assessments and expanded awareness of community supervision and programming options designed to address DV/IPV cases. Additionally, attendees gained insights from a multi-impacted individual’s personal experiences and applied those lessons to strategies that reduce harm.
