Words Matter: Language and Pretrial Improvement

Advancing Pretrial Policy and Research is pleased to offer a free virtual training on how language helps shape our thinking, affects our decisions and actions, and the implications for pretrial advancement. We’ll share examples of language used by pretrial practitioners and the media and discuss how professional associations are—and are not—moving to adopt strength-based, people-focused language.
