by   CSRC

Assessing Today’s State of the Field and Meeting Evolving Challenges

Practitioners and national experts came together to launch the Community Supervision Resource Center (CSRC) in Arlington, VA. The CSRC is a first-of-its-kind clearinghouse for the community supervision field that collects and shares foundational and current resources about adult community supervision, translates research findings into actionable policies, and provides accessible and responsive training and assistance to pretrial, probation, and parole organizations.

“Assessing Today’s State of the Field and Meeting Evolving Challenges” convened active recipients of BJA Smart Supervision grants who are working to enhance supervision practices and increase successful client outcomes. Five teams from around the country receiving assistance from the CSRC also attended and shared information about their staff wellness and leadership efforts.

Attendees explored and shared their expertise about implementing evidence-based practices, successful collaboration models, and creating sustainable partnerships with impacted people. Practitioners are returning to their jurisdictions revitalized and ready to improve outcomes for the people they serve and their communities.

Through centralizing critical resources, offering trainings, and providing technical assistance, the CSRC strengthens adult supervision agency practices and builds a network of practitioners committed to pursuing innovative and best practices.
