AI Enabled Community Supervision for Criminal Justice Services

Study of the Support and Monitoring System for Community Supervision (SMS4CS), an AI-based smartphone and web-based system that uses intelligent tracking mechanisms to provide case managers with early warning indicators of risky behavior and offers justice-involved individuals who are reintegrating into the community with tools to mitigate these risks. Findings from implementation in Tippecanoe County Community Corrections, Indiana, are discussed. Information about the software can be downloaded from the Purdue University Research Repository.
