Overview of racial disparities from arrest to trial to sentencing to post-prison experiences and recommendations made to the UN Special Rapporteur for strategies the United States can adopt to reduce both the existence and the effects of racial bias in its criminal justice system and, in so doing, uphold its obligations under the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.
