The Strategic Training Initiative in Community Supervision: RNR in the Real World
by Public Safety Canada
Summary of a study demonstrating that probation officers trained in the risk, need, and responsivity (RNR) principles were more likely to demonstrate RNR skills in their interactions with people on probation, and that people working with staff trained in the RNR principles were more likely to have lower recidivism rates than those working with staff not trained in these principles.
